Boonage

Ever since I started my study in Multimedia University up till now, had numerous encounters with Multi-Level Marketing, in short (MLM). Many had tried approaching me asking me to join their group under their line so that we can get rich within 3 years time and get retired from working after that, and throughout the progress, they will help me in any other way no matter what and what they want to do is just to see me success. Sounds very great and seems like is heaven huh? Even so, in the end i never have been truely involve in it and I am quite glad for being so. Why? (I’d break down into few parts on this with different type of MLM company.)

My very first encounter is with SiTO, the Oxgen Supercharged Oxygenated Bottled Water. I was being brought to this factory in Shah Alam by the lead of my foster sister, together with another friend and a lady (i assume is that friend’s mom). During that time I was totally green on these kind of thing. But for one thing, once I am in that factory and the particular speaker there was giving speech or something, I felt very uneasy and very uncomfort. I forgot how their actual system works because I did not really paying attention on what he was saying actually, but I know is the downline and upline thingy. Before the talk ends, 3 of them who came with me asked me whether interested and what do i felt on their system. Well, obviously I told them I am not interested although their system is good (by nature I told them good eventhough I did not really listen what he’s talking). As soon as i said I am not interested, all the question and persuasion started to come to me, asking me why so? I should have join this and that, plus all the GMGP story (Grandma Grandpa story). It’s really been quite long on this encounter, so I can’t really remember the persuade content, but all I know is after they start persuading, I starting to understand how it works and I kept my mouth shut all the time, just smile away on everything. I told them I will think about it first and start heading back. In the car, they still continue talking to me on it thoughout the journey back to my house. That time I really hope my house was just less than 1 minute drive, but it seems to be so long and far journey. After reaching home, I never go to that place again and of course didn’t join it eventhough few calls from my foster sister to convince me to join. Few years later, i met my foster sister again, but did not hear anything about SiTO from her again. Didn’t ask her about it though because doesn’t want anything unhappy to turn up. So, end of SiTO.
