Another cool news to designers as well as photographers out there! Our very own local hosting company Exa Bytes Network Sdn Bhd, together with WebmasterMalaysia and iLoveBlog plus the support of Fotopages, are organizing a Best Photo & Best Photo Gallery Contest! This contest is to mark Malaysia’s 50th year of Independence, inviting anyone residing in Malaysia to join and together showing how proud we are of being a Malaysian. At the same time, this contest will let photography enthusiasts showcase their beautiful photos on “Malaysia’s Tourist Destinations” to the whole world by placing it online in this digital age!

This contest splits into 2 categories: Photo Gallery & Best Photo, whereby both categories has the same prizes as below:

• First Prize - Canon PIXMA IP4200 Photo Printer (Worth RM499 each)
  + RM 399 Exabytes voucher (RM200 cash + Free renewal of existing hosting & domain for 1 year for existing Exabytes clients)
• Second Prize - Canon CanoScan 3000ex (Worth RM318 each)
  + RM 299 Exabytes voucher (RM150 cash + Free renewal of existing hosting & domain for 1 year for existing Exabytes clients)
• Third Prize - Maxtor Portable HDD (Worth RM269 each)
  + RM 199 Exabytes voucher (RM100 cash + Free renewal of existing hosting & domain for 1 year for existing Exabytes clients)

Contest Guidelines

• Contestants are allowed to send in one or a few albums in one photo gallery.
• Judging is based on the creativity of the contestants in creating their galleries.
• Will appoint WebmasterMalaysia as the official forum to discuss this contest
• Panel of judges consist of WM moderators, Exabytes®’ organizing committee, Some online photo forums’ administrators.
• Judges vote to select 20 finalists and public can vote for the winners – at WebmasterMalaysia (WM) forum.
• Contestants need to use their own hosting/ can get hosting from Exabytes®.
• If contestants are Exabytes®’ clients, Exabytes will give extra prizes for the winners.
• All images must be originals and must belong to the person uploading; all rights in the photo must be the property of the person uploading the photo.
• Exabytes® reserves the right to reject unsuitable or pornographic images.
• Submit your gallery by providing your URL to where your gallery resides.

• The colors (25%)

• Overall impression (25%)

Contest Guidelines

• Contest theme is “Visit Malaysia Year – Malaysia Tourist Destinations”.
• Maximum 2 photos per contestant.
• Photos must come with title, description and the model of the camera used.
• Panel of judges consist of WM moderators, Exabytes’ organizing committee, Some online photo forums’ administrators.
• Judges will select 20 finalists and public will vote for the winners – at WM forum.
• Contestants can use their own hosting/ gallery to upload their photos or they can post their photos at iLoveBlog.com.
• If contestants are Exabytes’ clients, Exabytes will give extra prizes for the winners.
• All images must be originals and must belong to the person uploading; all rights in the photo must be the property of the person uploading the photo.
• Exabytes® reserves the right to reject unsuitable or pornographic images.
• Please include a self-potrait (JPEG) of yourself with the camera.
• Digital manipulation is allowed only for color balance,brightness,contras and hue & saturation.
• Submission Formats: Digital files (jpeg) only. Suggested size: Minimum width and height - 1600 pixels and not more than 1.5Mb with 300 dpi
• Submit your photos by providing your URL to where your photos reside.

Rules:

• Provide title for each photo posted. A short note on why/how the photo was captured is encouraged.
• Exabytes reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
• Only winning entries are free to be used by the organizers. All copyright will still belong to original photographer and non-winning entries will not be used by the organizers.
• Exabytes has the right to make changes and updates to any information contained within this site without prior notice.
• Judges’ decisions are final.

Will Be Disqualified If The Following Criteria Have Not Been Observed:

• Submit the correct photo size/dimensions.
• Produce a high resolution photo when being requested to.
• A Self-Potrait with the camera.
• No Caption/ Title/ Description on your photo.
