Boonage

The 26th Hong Kong Film Awards had just ended. I had nothing but total disappointment over the whole event from the top to toe. The whole event was being broadcasted live direct to Astro Wah Lai Toi and also MyFM. I missed out the opening of it as I was still having my dinner outside when the event started. When I was back it was already half way through and was starting to announce the Best Film Editing and Best Cinematography. I was shock when I saw the host for this year are 林子聪, 曾宝仪 and 张家辉. I tought these 3 would gave out a great performance, but seems like it came out to be the other way round…

I wouldn’t say much on 林子聪 as he is consider ok for overall throughout the event. 曾宝仪 was able to speak well but the content of hers doesn’t seems to have meaning as most of them are crap that you listen from left ear and will eventually just pass through your brain and go out by you right ear. As for 张家辉, I would say he totally doesn’t have any talent on being a host. Each and every speech he gave he will need to refer to his script, and the content is the same, total crap! From these can be seen that these 3 hosts were totally not well-prepared. Host is actually the most important key person not only on this event, but also in any other event in the world be it is small or big. They are the one who will light up the atmosphere and entertain the audience from time to time. Having 3 of them to be the host, does really spoilt the whole event, by comparing with 黄子华, who was the sole 24th Hong Kong Film Awards host (if my memory serves me right), did perfectly well as he manage to control the atmosphere well and his talk were not plain entertaining but meaningful and creative.

Due to the badly performance from the hosts, the whole event was very boring and I can’t even continue to watch as it does really hypnotise me. So I stopped from watching hence I continue listen by streaming the live broadcast from MyFM’s website. When talk about streaming, I thought I could put hope on the streaming speed as it was just audio buffering, but guess I really shouldn’t had. The streaming was terrible! OMG! 1Mps connection, without any download or uploading from me, not even a single brower was opened, still the streaming was so awful! TMNet really is nothing but a joke! RM77+ RM1 for 1Mps connection now? my ass! So I stop the streaming rather then having the lagging stream audio spoil my ear.

Even I did not watched the whole event, but I manage to get to know some of the key results from my friend. The Best Movie awards won by 父子 After This Our Exile, expected for this because it was the most boring movie among the nominees. Best Actor awards, by 劉青雲（我要成名） Lau Ching Wan (My Name Is Fame). Well, I would say he definitely deserved it for all his hardwork throughout the whole career in the movie industry. 吳澋滔 | Gouw Ian Iskandar who was a little boy acted in （父子）(After This Our Exile) had won himself Best New Performer and the Best Supporting Actor. This is really a bright start for this boy as his acting was undeniable good. Just hope that he doesn’t grow up and become one of the celebrity kid with sucking attitude. And the hell! Jay Chou won another awards! Best Original Film Song- 菊花台 Ju Hua Tai from the movie 滿城盡帶黃金甲 Curse Of The Golden Flower. Well, is expected as well because this fella has 2 songs being nominated. But I do really hope next year he won’t be nominated as the Best Actor or Best Director, GOD! please! No Mercy on him! he’s spoiling all the movies! First is Initial D, then goes to Fearless! damn!

That’s the few key awards, never bother to ask about the female supporting and female best actor because i don’t really concern on it. Anyway, will put on the full list of the winners once I have the full list
