After Fish Leong’s Cantonese Song, seems like our another very own local singer - Michael Wong/Guang Liang (光良)is also making an attempt to challenge himself on cantonese song, but this time for him is a bit different. Which is, having a duet with Hong Kong female singer - Janice (卫兰) with the song name 童梦 (childhood dream). As I said before i am a fan of duet song, but seriously i am not very impressed with this after listening on it. Guang Liang himself is a chinese guy whom i think really speak cantonese much, so naturally it comes out to be quite wierd for him to sing a cantonese language song. Additionally dueting with a Hong Kong singer, it even amplified his weakness on his cantonese wordings. Also maybe previously i had listened to Fish Leong’s cantonese song, so the expectation of quality had set to be too high on this duet song. Therefore I can’t help to compare those 2 female singers with Guang Liang and of course the result turns out to be negative on his side. However, considering is his first attempt, credit still is given for his courage on challenging himself. Anyway, different people may have different taste, try listen it and give your comment and opinion on it. Maybe you will like it a lot, who knows!
