Flash Point – 导火线

Flash Point – 导火线

First is SPL (杀破狼), follow by Seven Sword (七剑), then Dragon-Tiger-Gate (龙虎门), and now another great action movie of Donnie Yen, Flash Point (导火线)! Just came back from watching this movie, and I will have to say the kungfu action for this movie would be the best among the previous mentioned 3!

**note – safe, no spoiler**

During the movie SPL, Donnie Yen attempted the Mixed Martial Art(MMA) concept on it and won himself the Best Choreography in Hong Kong Flim Awards. Now in Flash Point he again use this dynamic action style of MMA for this movie, mixed of Western Boxing, Thai Kicking (the favor Thai Knee), Superb Grappling or Wrestling and also groundwork of Brazilian Jujitsu!

This movie isn’t really about the story to begin with, after all is a typical martial art movie. Though Donnie Yen wasn’t good in acting and of course you can compare him with Tony Leung, but his actions were simply STUNNING AWESOME! His movement was fast and swift, combat scene despite range or close was perfectly done! Don’t worry, although is fast but your eye can still follow up. You can clearly see the fist was clearly landed on the flesh and the impact can really be felt, on top of that, their wrestling movement stunts were totally flawless and all you can do was open up your mouth and witness it! Most of the action scene especially those fighting scene towards the end you really will “wah, Wah, and WAH!!!”

Well, as I said isn’t really about the story, so don’t hope to have any twist on the story, everything is predictable and FYI, the gun fighting and car action scene were sux and fake, Louis Koo’s roll is Donnie Yen’s partner and he doesn’t really has much action scene, but of course with some humourous part, that’s his style anyway. Conclusion, for the action/martial art movie lovers, is a recommended movie! As an action movie point of view, I rate the movie for 8/10, the missing 2 is…NOT ENOUGH AR, IS JUST 1/2 HOUR!!!

Include the trailer of this movie in case there are poeple did not see it before, those who watched it before but wish to rewatch, help yourself 😉 Also for me to try out this Showornot’s Player. FYI, the streaming speed is damn fast!
