Boonage

Finally changed my graphic card. Upgraded from GF 6600 LE to ATI X1950 Pro. It’s recommended that this new graphic card to be operate under a PC with 450W power supply. So with my current power supply of 350W, although it can still operate it, but it won’t be good for the other hardware due to insufficient supply (i assumed). So went to the PC shop where i bought my this Rig.

Really when i am not there then there aren’t many people, but once i go there then suddenly came a lot of people. So i have no choice but to talk to a junior/new technician as all the other staff there was busy serving other customer. So asked to change the power supply to 450W, before i could even continue my 2nd request he already brought my pc to the technician room. Actually i wanted to add another HD in, but still manage to inform him before i left.

An hour later, went back to the PC shop together with my this graphic card. Asked them to change it as well since is my pc side casing already opened. Those technician there were shocked and over-joyed when they saw me brought this monster in. Happily they fixed it in my pc saying damn this PC is going to be cool with this card!

Later came in this so call senior staff, for some reason i don’t think he’s doing any technician work there, just selling maybe. He saw this card’s box with my old card inside, so the conversation started

S.Staff: This card good meh? (looking at the box)
Me: Well, at least better than my current one.
S.Staff: What’s your proccesor?
Me: AMD.
S.Staff: AMD? why on earth you use ATI? should use Nvidia mah
Me: ……… (Nvidia give you money?)
S.Staff: What’s your this current card? (looking at my old card)
Me: 6600.
S.Staff: GeForce right? 6600 LE right?
Me: Yeah…(don’t tell me you cant see the text written on the cooling fan)
S.Staff: 6600 LE not good meh? LE woh.
Me: I wanna try this new card out thats why i wanna change.
S.Staff: This card i see also know is not good, where got possible is better than this 6600.
Me: …….(you fucking noob, even a stupid also know how good this card is by seeing it’s cooling fan!)
S.Staff: Ooooohh~ this card got crossfire. Get 1 more of this card lah, do crossfire.
Me: Erm..i don’t think i need crossfire.
S.Staff: You know crossfire? crossfire is 2 same graphic card slot it in a connect with a cable then is 2x more power! Play game can be very good wan leh!
Me: Yeah, i don’t think i need it because i m not really a gamer. Plus my mobo don’t support crossfire nor SLI. (of course i know wat the hell crossfire is!)
S.Staff: Not play game also can wan mah, do 3D. You know 3D? those 3 dimension thing, do until can turn bla bla bla bla, (didn’t really paying attention to what he’s talking already).
Me: hahahah, yeah yeah~ (sarcastically)
S.Staff: Eh? PowerColor? never heard before woh.. (looking at the manufacturer of the ATI card)
Me: yameh? i also don’t know (lazy to layan already)
S.Staff: You know, last time i was working at Gigabyte selling their product ……………. bla bla…. bla bla

Technician: Hey come, i teach you something here
Me: Ok! (Thank GOD!!!!!!)

From a senior staff of a PC shop telling me NVidia GeForce 6600 LE is far better than ATI Radeon X1950 Pro. Just see the structure also can see the difference on which is far better. Even if don’t know how to see, by comparing the price, 6600LE - maximum around RM 200, X1950Pro - minumum is RM 700. You tell me which is better…

Oh yeah~ finally changed. Though i was happy but it was sad at the same time when i saw how they arrange my wiring…it’s really a mess!!!! Guess i will have to spend sometime to rearrange back and tidy up the cables…..
