What Touched You?

One fine day my friend suddenly asked me this question: “What kind scene of a movie do you think that is touching?” Straight away i answer my friend: “It will never be a love scene between a teenage guy and girl!” The truth is i didn’t really know how to define the word touching, for me is when i saw a scene, and my heart felt a bit of sourness and that sourness will strike my eye’s nerve and cause my tears to almost come out. I don’t think any romance or love scene especially those prince and princess wannabe love scene (Taiwanese and Korean idol drama especially….) will cause me to have that feel.

To me, scene that would give me this kind of feeling is when i see and feel the true bond between friendships, family and loyalty.

The very first movie that i truely make me have these feeling is Frequency

I forgot when was this shown, but when people asked me what movie which i think is very touching, this will sure be the first in my mind. It’s a movie about how a father from the pass and his son from the present communicate with each other through a broadcast machine due to the aurora frequency interference. It’s very touched when the father appeared infront of his son saving his life at the very last minute. Quite a number of movie immitated this story’s idea.

Then few years ago another movie made me had the same kind of feeling again – Ladder 49

Ladder 49

A story about a life of a fireman. From the first day he joined this fire dept until the day he sacrifice himself. The bond between his fireman friends and his superior.

Human and Animal’s movie – Eight Below

Eight Below

ahhh..when it’s about the movie between a human and an animal, be it is a dog, a whale or anything, it will sure kills the audience heart during the end of the movie. The last movie of this genre which i watched was Eight Below, story about the 8 Siberian Huskies trying to survive from an extremely bad condition in Antarctica with no food supplies. After this movie, i really trying to avoid myself from watching any movie of this genre because i will always have very hard time to fall asleep during night time

Of course not only English movie, even some of the Chinese drama as well, take for example the recent drama – The Drive of Life

The Drive of Life

The family bond of the Father and Daughter, rememered the scene where the father actually understand her daughter’s motive behind on protecting her younger brother from danger. Also the bond between the manager and the staffs. Really feels touched when see it.

Taiwanese, Korean Princess and Prince romance loving story…neh…up till now, as far as i can remember, i don’t think i get tears from seeing these movies. So, what about u? what’s ur the most touching scene or movie to u?

You know what? I’ve never watched any of the movies you mentioned here :p Well, I’ll normally avoid sad movies and not really keen on mushy lovey dovey love stories (cuz’ I tend to be too sensitive – sure will cry like giler)

What made me cried were (some of em) :-

Stephen Chow’s – ‘King of Comedies’ (everybody gimme ‘the look’ when I told them). I first saw the poster of the movie with tears from all the casts. I was wondering why … till I watched the movie. I super kesian Stephen Chow’s character in the movie.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (ok.. this is a love story) – I dunno how many times I’ve cried watching this 3-hours movie. Just when you thought you’ve cried enuf, they’ll come up another scene that made you cry again.

I Not Stupid 1 & 2 (of family values) – another one that made my cry like giler. I’ve blogged about it..with all the ‘wantons’ I made :p

The most touching scene is the support that teamates gave.
There were once my muscles cramp when hiking… so i was the last to reach, Even so but none looks down on me neither laugh on me, in facts every1 give me a helping hand, support and gv me the courage to reach the camp site… all along the way.

and i cried like i neva cry b4 when i reach… not bcoz of the pain but bcoz of the soul accompanion.

Awwwww…there’re way too many movies that bring a lump to my throat. Way too many….

Relationships. That’s what it is. Whether it’s between family, friends, your love ones, or pets and animals, it’s that bonding, that soul sharing moment, that unspoken lil sth, that uncondtional love and support, which make one’s heart wrenched.

And, thats my weakest link.

Ohh, yea, 1 litre of tears. It touches not only your heart, the best part is it inspires you!

A very good reminder to all of us how we should be grateful of and appreciate what we have.

Boon – so called ‘King of Comedy’ la but I don’t find it funny. More like sad. You got watch ah? Imagine this poor guy who’s trying to make it big in movie scene but all he could get is some ‘keh leh feh’ role and all he wanted was the lunch box provided for ‘keh leh feh’ after work.. that also the mean ppl throw his lunch box away. And Cecilia Cheung’s role – young school girl who got abused and cheated by so called boyfriend and made her a prostitute to earn money for him… sad not?

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a Hindi movie la.. the one with Sharukh Khan and Kajol – old movie. Both of them are buddies. She loves him.. he loves someone else… :p
