Boonage

Last 2 days i’d turned into a paintman, helping my buddy Thomas who recently bought a unit in Aseana Puteri Condominum in Puchong. Yeah, the condo developed by IOI which i talked about the Parking Lot Case on my last few post. The default paint of the unit doesn’t look very satisfying and there are plenty of stain on it. So he decided to paint it again and there came in me to lend him a hand.

It has been many many years since i last touch a paint roller or brush, same goes for Thomas. So we did not expect any good outcome from our paint results, eventhough we are using waterpaint, hehe

Once reached his unit in the morning, immediately we start mixing the 5 litre paint with water, decide who to paint which wall and gets our hand dirty. It wasn’t long after we finished painting the first layer of those walls and before we can start the second layer, at least 1 - 2 hours time we had to let it to dry. So we proceed with the painting on the edge of the wall. Again wasn’t long and we done our part (faster than we expected), we went out for our lunch. Now the great part happended here

We took the lift went downstairs and during the walk to the car, a mom passed by us together with a son. Our shirt and pants are full of paint, the mom saw us and told his son before passing by us, saying “Remember to study hard now, if not later will become like this 2 uncle when u grow up”. Of course we heard it, it’s like passing message to us rather than to her son! Me and my friend didn’t say a word until we go into the car and starting laughing “Hoi! See lah! don’t study when u are small! Now become paintman!”, “Hahaha”, “So where we go eat?”, “We paintman ar…let’s go mamak lah, that’s where the paintman hang out mostly~”

After 1 hour lunch, came back to his unit (did not see that mom and son again). Start get our ass moving again because we need to finish the wall with this color on that day itself. So began the second layer paint. 1 hour time, yeah…is just 1 hour time and i’d done with my wall, didn’t know what my friend’s progress but i’d already began doing the finishing touch up. Another hour gone and i’d totally done with my wall. Nothing much happen really here, all are painting and cock talking only. After finished with mine, i start helping Thomas on his, This wall is a bit hard to paint on the edges because of the pillar, and plus his clumsiness i had to help him on the edges while he continue with thouse that no need much hand stableness.

Without realizing how long it had passed, it was already 7 - 8 pm in the night. Our stomach was yelling like mad. Quickly we start cleaning the brushes and had it dry so that we could use it the next morning. Fast..yeah, still we finished everything at 9pm and only start leaving the place and head for our dinner

Went to this Bak Kut Teh in the old puchong. It’s the dry Bak Kut Tech which once appeared in Astro - Ah Sien’s show. The dry Bak Kut Teh is cooked by a 14 years old kid. Taste was not bad, or rather because we were too hungry, we just stuff whatever which was edible into our mouth, it’s like someone who never eat for few days….

After dinner, head on back house. After bath…only i really felt the tiredness on my arms and legs. Waited for my hair to dry (luckily i have short hair), then went to my bed and before i could count to 10, i already fell asleep…….zzzzzzzzzzzzz
